CHIARA LECCA

SCULTURA CENTRALE

Chiara Lecca takes part in the group exhibition Scultura centrale, at the Ex Centrale del Latte in Vicenza.

The exhibition, curated by Alberto Zanchetta and Paolo Dosa, aims to transform a former industrial site into a dynamic cultural hub, promoting contemporary art and strengthening the bond between community and artistic heritage. The sculptures are arranged to interplay with the architectural spaces of the building, creating a connection between art and architecture.

At the show Scultura centrale are exhibited the series Misses (Carlotta, Fiorenza, Roberta, Patrizia, Irene) made in 2010, and Glazed Sharp Pulp (2018). In both artworks, Chiara Lecca combines organic and inorganic elements, creating a dissociating effect. Both in Misses and in Glazed Sharp Pulp, butcher’s hooks are structural for the works of art as they support on one side human hair, on the other terracotta and hides.

The organization is entrusted to the ACT Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Vicenza and has the support of Fondazione Roi.
