MARCO TIRELLI
ANNI LUCE
Marco Tirelli presents his solo exhibition Anni luce, from 17 March to 12 July, at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, curated by Mario Codognato.
The forty-two artworks conceived by Marco Tirelli are spread across exhibition halls 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Palazzo Esposizioni, forming a single large installation. It is a cycle in paint and in spirit, in which each work, while perfectly self-contained, is nevertheless part of a seamless. The exhibition halls turn into a “theatre of memory” in which the artist builds a cosmogonic representation of his work. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue published by Electa, designed in the style of a fully-fledged artist’s book with large plates reproducing all the works on display, and essays by the curator Mario Codognato, by writer Marco Lodolo and by art historian Victor I. Stoichita.
Anni luce is conceived, produced, and organised by Azienda Speciale Palaexpo with the support of Fondazione Silvano Toti. The exhibition is also promoted by Assessorato alla Cultura di Roma Capitale, and Azienda Speciale Palaexpo.
