Maria Elisabetta Novello presents the solo exhibition Bioscritture at Stamperia d’arte Albicocco, Udine, curated by Giorgia Gastaldon and Stamperia d’arte Albicocco.

Through the use of the dried plant element, the artist reflects on the temporality of the life cycle with the aim of conferring eternity to elements that are by nature ephemeral.

Maria Elisabetta Novello recovers the traditional physiotypical technique, already used in past centuries to print botanical tables by imprinting tree essences on lead plates. The artist thus creates lead works as well as prints on paper that present particular botanical species personally collected in specific natural places. The result is an operation of recovery and enhancement of what is considered waste and ephemeral.
