Maria Elisabetta Novello takes part in the 23rd edition of Art Stays Festival in Ptuj, Slovenia, from 10 July to 14 September 2025. The festival, entitled DUST For dust thou art and unto dust shalt thou retourn, and directed by Jernej Forbici and Marika Vicari, focuses on the fragility of the future. This latter depends on the dedication and attention of each of us to carefully manage natural resources and post-production. Hence, the theme of dust is perceived as a point of departure and arrival.

This cross-section amalgamates Maria Elisabetta Novello’s artistic poetics, which finds the structural and essential component of her work in ephemeral materials such as ash and dust. Her art embraces the fragility of the contemporary and the instability of existence in all its beauty.
