MODUS. Tecniche, poetiche, Materiali nell’arte contemporanea, collateral event of the 57th Venice Biennale, is a group exhibition that investigates the first and most neglected component of today’s art: the material of which it is composed, the scientific and technical results that helped to determine the form and the poetic, inextricably linked together. The exhibition develops inside a dark path that simulates the biological womb of an animal, of a vegetable and the mineral kingdom. The visitor encounters linguistic variations, formal calculations and experiments. The exhibition is like a journey of creative experiences between the historic time and the present time, expressing though a geography of doing that embraces poetics and also the urgent needs of the West and the East.
