Zentrum für Internationale Lichtkunst, Unna presents Neon Delight, the exhibition that brings together the most well-known international artists working in neon-based light art. Keith Sonnier presents the sculpture Ballroom Chandelier (2008), part of the series Chandelier, consisting of curved neon tubes to create organic configurations that give new meaning to the material. Another key-work on view is Never Move Far From Color (2017-2018) by Maurizio Nannucci, which shows that neon art is for the artist language-based in the form of text, writing, and its design. Both artists, despite their different origins and upbringings, started experimenting with neon in the late 60s and still continue to use it to create unique sculptures.
