The exhibition “Romamor” is the first major solo show in Italy by Anne and Patrick Poirier. The French couple belongs to that generation of artists who, traveling and opening up to the world since the 1960s, develop a fascination for ancient cities and civilizations and, in particular, for the processes of their disappearance. This sensitivity is here highlighted: mysterious cities, imaginary archaeological reconstructions, fascination for the ruins, investigation of gardens, union of historical works and site-specific productions are the elements that give life to the exhibition at Villa Medici in Rome.
