Dalla fine degli anni ’60 e del loro soggiorno presso la Villa Medici a Roma, Anne e Patrick Poirier si sono interessati alle discipline umanistiche, alla storia, alla psicologia, all’antropologia, all’architettura e all’archeologia. Il duo usa mezzi molto diversi per esprimere, in forme metaforiche, l’idea dominante del proprio lavoro: la fragilità dell’essere, della natura e della cultura.
