In conjunction with the retrospective dedicated by the Maison européenne de la photographie to the photographic work by Anne and Patrick Poirier, Galerie Mitterrand presents the third solo exhibition by the duo. The show is dedicated to the models, which occupy a central place in their work. From the late 1960s and their residence at the Villa Medici in Rome, Anne and Patrick Poirier became interested in the humanities, history, psychology, anthropology, architecture and archeology. The duo uses very different means to express, in metaphorical forms, the dominant idea of their work: the fragility of being, of nature and of culture.
