The volume explores the dialogue between the classicism of Jannis Kounellis and the Pop of Andy Warhol. Far from any attempt to assimilate the two masters of contemporary art to the same matrix, the book invites to reflect on their ideological and aesthetic differences, their shared cultural backgrounds and fascination with the power and mystery of spirituality, while also presenting a unique juxtaposition of selected images of works by Kounellis and Warhol.
