On the occasion of the solo exhibition “Biopolitics” at Frankfurt am Main in Berlin, Piero Gilardi presents an unpublished video: original masks used in street protests from the 70s up to the present, and his “tappeti natura”. With his works the artist considers current events as the “Capitalocene” era, in which nature has lost its virginal character and artificial environments provide shelter from the effects of climate change and possible extinction.
