CONTRAPPUNTO is the first edition of a project that involves 8 Friuli-based artists invited to dialogue with a work of the public collections of modern art of Udine. Maria Elisabetta Novello presents Paesaggio. I° tentativo, a tribute to Montagne by Mario Sironi. Ashes, soot and coal dust – treated in a sculptural way and enclosed between plexiglas panes – create plastic and vibrant images, showing all the shades of grey.
