GREAT NOISES THAT FILL THE AIR. BOW GAMELAN ENSEMBLE

The exhibition “Great Noises that Fill The Air” is the first retrospective of the artist collective Bow Gamelan Ensemble founded by Richard Wilson together with Anne Bean and Paul Burwell. Since the 1980s, the collective has created sound installations and performances with an orchestra made up of found objects, such as metal scrap, electric motors, river barges and domestic objects. The exhibition presents an interactive installation, drawn from sketches, photographs and ephemerals from the Bow Gamelan Ensemble archive.
